Sinopec Oilfield Equipment Corporation (SOFE) has secured a major order for large
reciprocating compressors in Africa, marking several milestones: the largest single order
value and highest number of units exported in a single batch in the company's African
market history. The win underscores SOFE's accelerating global expansion and recognition
of its compressor technology in harsh, remote operating environments.
In recent years, SOFE's Compressor Division has strategically strengthened its
international footprint while maintaining domestic market leadership. The company has
successfully qualified as an approved supplier for key global operators including Irkutsk Oil
Company,Total Energies, and Sonatrach, gaining critical access to high?growth African
energy markets.
For this project, SOFE delivered fully customized compressor solutions tailored to local
climate and operational challenges, integrating electrical packages and auxiliary systems
for seamless on?site deployment. The turnkey approach and reliable after?sales service
were key factors in winning the contract.
With 30+ years of R&D and manufacturing expertise, it is a national base for compressor
localization in China. Its reciprocating compressors are used in natural gas boosting,
gathering, and wellhead gas recovery, with core technologies independently developed,
